Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project - [Love Together]

Key components:
  • Train volunteers to become "Elderly Care Ambassadors" with the knowledge of maintaining brain health, healthy exercise and home safety, preparing them to promote related messages to frail elderly and their caregivers, and conduct home visits and telephone calls.
  • Conduct educational activities to community stakeholders such as mutual aid committees and Housing Department staff to enhance their understanding and awareness on frail elderly.     
  • Organise group activities and talks on elderly care to teach elderly people and caregivers about the communication skills with family members and introduce the community support services and resources available for frail elderly and their caregivers.
  • Organise closing ceremony with exhibition, game booths, talks, drama and sharing by caregivers to introduce the community support services for frail elderly and caregivers, and promote the messages of care for the elderly and prevention of elder abuse.
