Jockey Club Age-friendly City Partnership Scheme 2024/2025

The Jockey Club Age-friendly City Partnership Scheme (“the Scheme”) has been launched since 2018 to encourage different community sectors in building an age-friendly city that can cater for the needs of all ages. The Scheme is the first of its kind in engaging different stakeholders, including business community, government departments and social enterprises, to adopt age-friendly practices in Hong Kong.

Concept of Age-friendly City (AFC)

Eight domains summarising factors and key elements of the urban environment that support active and healthy ageing were identified:

  • imageSocial participation
  • imageRespect and social inclusion
  • imageCivic participation and employment
  • imageCommunication and information
  • imageCommunity support and health services
