JCAFC Project featured at Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit 2020

The 4th Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES), co-hosted by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service and the Government, and sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (HKJCCT), was organised at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 19 - 22 November 2020.  Through the exhibition, online summit and workshops, GIES targets to enhance elderly's quality of life through the use of gerontechnology.

The Expo showcased more than 500 local and overseas gerontechnology products and solutions. The HKJCCT has set up a pavilion to introduce the Trust-initiated and Trust-supported projects related to gerontechnology addressing the challenges of ageing, which included the "Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project". Apart from exhibiting the development of HKJCCT's works on elderly services, an interactive zone was also set up in the pavilion to further engage the visitors via interactive displays on the technology applications developed by various projects, such as the "Jockey Club Community eHealth Care Project" empowering the elderly in health management, the "Jockey Club Caring Communities for Dementia Campaign" promoting the building of a dementia-friendly community and the use of a mobile tracking system to find the missing persons, and the "Lifestyle Reactivation Project: Jockey Club Smart Homecare Solution" reactivating the daily life of the elderly with technology.
