Date: 12 August 2016 (Friday)
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 noon
Venue: The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Participants: 27 trained ambassadors
Professional Support Team introduced the baseline assessment findings of the Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project to ambassadors with a view to enhancing their understanding on the age-friendliness of Kowloon City and encouraging them to promote the age-friendly city (AFC) concepts in the community. Being members of the community, ambassadors, by using their life experience, discussed the key areas of concerns in the eight AFC domains and what could be done to make Kowloon City a more age-friendly community. At the end of the activity, Dr. Jackie Kwok of Professional Support Team introduced the forthcoming ambassador activity - “Age-friendly Housing Interior Design Workshop” which aimed to facilitate ambassadors to express the needs of older people on home setting and design.
